Day 01 : Delhi
Upon arrival, transfer and check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi
After breakfast, enjoy a fully day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the Red Fort - a spectacular specimen of Mughal architecture, the Jama Masjid -the largest mosque in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees, the Chandni Chowk bazaar and Raj Ghat, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi. Also visit the Humayun's Tomb, the best-preserved example of early Mughal architecture dating back to the 16th Century, as well as the Qutub Minar, a soaring tower of victory, built in 1199 AD. Drive around the embassy area and government buildings. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B)

Day 03 : Delhi-Bagdogra-Darjeeling
Transfer to the airport for a connecting flight to Bagdogra. On arrival, drive to Darjeeling, a popular hill station straddling the ridge at 2134 m and surrounded by tea plantations. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for overnight stay. (Meals : B & D)

Day 04 : Darjeeling
In the morning, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Snow Leopard breeding enclosure attached to the Zoo. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel. (Meals: B & D)

Day 05 : Darjeeling
Early in the morning, go for a trip to Tiger Hill for a fabulous view of Kanchenjunga, with Darjeeling in the foreground and Mt. Everest and Makalu on the horizon. On the way back, visit the Ghoom monasteries. Also visit the Peace Pagoda, Tibetan refugee self-help center, where one can see carpet weaving and wood carving. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Day 06 : Darjeeling-Pemayangtse
In the morning, drive to Pemayangtse visiting the Tashiding Monastery en route. This Monastery is constructed on top of a heart-shaped hill with the backdrop of the sacred Mt. Kanchenjunga. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 07 : Pemayangtse
Early in the morning, visit the Sanga Choelling monastery, situated on a ridge above Pelling and the famous Pemayangtse Monastery. Also visit the Kechopalri lake which is considered one of the most sacred lakes of Sikkim by the Hindus and Buddhists. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 08 : Pemayangtse-Gangtok
In the morning, drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, visiting the Tashiding Monastery en route. This Monastery is constructed on top of a heart-shaped hill with the backdrop of the sacred Mt. Kanchenjunga. The city offers excellent views of the entire Kanchenjunga range from many points. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Later, explore the local market. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 09 : Gangtok-Rumtek-Gangtok
In the morning, visit the Enchey monastery that dates from the middle of the 19th Century. Built in Tibetan tradition, its exquisite murals depict protective deities and the wheel of law. Also visit the deer park, the Research Institute of Tibetology, a museum of Buddhist scripts Do-Drul Chorten. Later drive to Rumtek. On arrival, check into hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Rumtek monastery with the Rumtek Dharma Chakra Center, the seat of the Kagyupa order, one of the four major Tibetan Buddhist sects. It houses some of the world's most unique religious scriptures and religious art objects. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 10 : Gangtok-Kalimpong
In the morning, drive to Kalimpong and check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 11 : Kalimpong
Early in the morning, go to Deoli Hill, to look down over Kanchenjunga and the adjoining peaks. Later, visit the Zendhog Palri Monastery, that houses the Kanguyar, in 108 volumes, brought by the Dalai Lama when he fled Tibet. Also visit the Thongsa Monastery that has the oldest Gompa built during the Bhutanese period, in 1630 and the Mangal Dhara Hindu Temple. Overnight at hotel. (Meals : B & D)

Day 12 : Kalimpong-Bagdogra-Delhi
In the morning, drive to Bagdogra, for a flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for onward travel. (Meals : B)

Special Attractions
Rashtrapati Bhawan : The president's mansion is situated on Raisina Hill in the center of Delhi, overlooking the green lawns around India Gate. This elegant building, is truly worth seeing, for its architectural beauty and historic significance. The beautiful Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhawan, which are open to the public in spring, are an added attraction.

Parliament House : Located in Central Delhi, this elegant building with its wide pillared walkways and large halls, is worth a visit, to see the corridors of power where India's lawmakers and statesmen decide the future of India.

India Gate : Situated on Rajpath, in the center of Delhi, this 42-meter high arch, was designed by Edwin Lutyens, in memory of the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the first World War. Their names can be seen inscribed on the arch. The Amar Jawan Jyoti, an eternal flame, burns in memory of the unknown soldier, beneath the shelter of the arch, which is surrounded by green lawns, fountains and water bodies - an evergreen picnic zone in the heart of central Delhi.

Red Fort : This grand fort built during the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan's reign, this majestic building made of red sandstone is the location from where the Prime Minister of India addresses the nation every Independence Day. The Diwan-e-khas, and Diwan-e-am, the weaponry museum and the sound and light show are all worth seeing at the Red Fort.

Qutab Minar : Built during the reign of Sultan Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1199 A.D., this 72.5 m high pillar is a symbol of the Delhi Sultanate. Near it can be seen the ruins of Kila Ri Pithora, the fort of Prithviraj Chauhan, and an amazing iron pillar from Gupta times which has not yet rusted.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) : A visit to the region is incomplete without a ride in the toy-train of DHR. The miniature train, given heritage status by UNESCO, covers the distance of 88 km between New Jalpaiguri station and darjeeling. more

Tiger hill : Standing at a height of 2590m, Tiger Hill is 11 km from the main town. The place is famous for its magnificent view of Kanchenjunga, Mt. Everest and other eastern Himalayan peaks especially at the time of sunrise.

Zoological Park : About 2 km. from the town, this zoo houses a wide collection of high-altitude birds and animals, India's only collection of Siberian tigers and some rare species such as the red panda. The darjeeling zoo is famous for its success in the snow leopard breeding program.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) & Museum : Adjacent to the Zoological Park, HMI runs courses on mountaineering. It has a mountaineering museum containing mountaineering gears and the specimens of Himalayan flora & fauna. The Everest Museum at darjeeling HMI exhibits the history of attempts on the great peak. The museum also exhibits equipments used by Tenzing Norgay (who lived most of his life here) and Edmund Hillary on their way to Mt. Everest and a letter written by George Mallory, the British climber who was lost while climbing Mt. Everest and whose body was found just a few years back.

Lloyd Botanical Garden : The garden, located below the bus stand, is worth a dekko for its representative collection of Himalayan plants, flowers and orchids. The serenity of the sylvan atmosphere that the garden offers is another reason for its attraction.

Ghoom Monastery : The most famous monastery around, also known as Yogachoeling Gompa, enshrines an image of Maitrey Buddha (the coming Buddha), it is about 10 km from town.

Senchal Lake : The source of domestic water of the town, located near the Tiger Hill. *Passenger Ropeway: - At North Point, it is ready to offer you a joy ride. About 4 km from darjeeling town. There was an accident in this ropeway and because of this the ropeway remained closed for several years.

Rumtek Monastery : The largest monastery in the Eastern Himalaya, built by the Gyalwa Karmapa in strict accordance with the traditional designs of the monastery in Tibet. Rumtek is the seat of Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism. This magnificent gompa is only 24 km from Gangtok.

Tsongo Lake : Lying 40km northeast of Gangtok, it means `Source of the Lake` in Bhutia language. This placid lake is located at an altitude of 3780m and held to be sacred by the local people.

Nathula : At an altitude of 14200ft, Nathula pass is the border between India and China in the Tibetan plateau. Only 56 km away from the Gangtok, tranquility of this place is very charming. Waving Chinese soldiers and Chinese tourists on the other side of the border is an added attraction.

Namgayal Institute of Tibetology : Built in 1958, this is a unique institute for research into Mahayana Buddhism and the language and tradition of Tibet. A renowned center for Buddhist study, the institute houses a rare collection of Tibetan, Sanskrit and Lepcha manuscripts, statues, Thankas (tapestry used in Buddhist liturgy) as well as more than 200 Buddhist icons.

Enchey Monastery : This 200 year old monastery is famous for the mask dance called 'Cham' performed in the month of January. An important seat of the Nyingma order, the Enchey Monastery meaning the Solitary temple, was originally built with the solace that no other construction would be allowed near it. monasteries in sikkim.

Flower Exhibition Centre : Located near the White Hall Complex this place houses a variety of orchids, seasonal flowers as well as bonsai. It is open between April to June and September until the end of November. In recent years, this show has become quite popular and famous, as there are flower exhibitions throughout the year in accordance with the seasons and the flowers in bloom.

Do-Drul Chorten (stupa) : This chorten houses the complete mandala sets of Darjee Phurba, a set of Holy Books, complete 'Zung' (mantras) and other religious objects. The Stupa was built by the venerable Trulshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Around this Chorten are 10 Mani-Lhakor (prayer wheels).

Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden : 24km away Gangtok, this garden is consist of temperate forest of Oaks and as many as 50 different kinds of trees species.

Tashi View Point : Built by the late King of Sikkim Sri. Tashi Namgyal this viewpoint is at a distance of about 8km away from the town and offers good view of Mt. Siniolchu and Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Ganesh Tok : This spot, 7km away from Gangtok, offers a bird's eye view of Gangtok. There is a small temple of lord Ganesh at this place. It is on a hillock on Gangtok-Nathula Road.

Hanuman Tok : Just above Ganesh Tok lays this viewpoint offering nice view of the mountains along the horizon and the Gangtok town, there is a Temple of Hanuman here.
